University Central Library

The University Central Library is the heart of study and research of the entire university community. Though comparatively small in the number of volumes it stocks, the library is renowned for its systematic collection of Christian and theological books and also theses. It possesses probably the largest collection of material on the Anglican theology in the country. Also to be found in its stock are the substantial numbers of academic journals and monographs on social movements, civil society and NGOs, some of which are originated from the private collection of professors in the university. The library holds special collections of books on Japanese history and society entrusted to the university by the renowned Japanese scholars Miyata Hiroto and Nakamura Fukuchi. To keep abreast with the latest advancement in information technology, the library is also rapidly increasing the stock of electronic academic data base.
